I am the director of the UCL Climate Action Unit and a neuroscientist at King's College London.
One of my interests lies in how we believe. With 'believing', I mean how our brains decide that certain ideas are 'true', while rejecting other ideas as 'false'. This lies at the heart of how polarisation in society is happening on important issues like climate change. The insights from neuroscience and psychology about how belief happens also give us a way out of our problem situations. On this site you find some of the projects I have been working on, links to media appearances, articles I have written about belief and polarisation, and links to research pages. Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions. |
